Subject: The recovery method of the firmware via DPMS (D&M Product
Management Server).
Countermeasure is applicable only upon claim from the customer.

Symptom: 1) The synchronization of the image of the wallpaper is disturbed
when pushing the SOURCE button without SD card.
2) After completed "firmware update", following symptom occurs.
a. The following sentences appear and the network cannot be connected.
"Network problem. Make sure that the connection and network setting are
correct".
b. The tray cannot be opened. While pressing open button, window display"
open/close/loading" very fast.
3) DVD-A1UD can not play a BD-R which TV program was recorded on by a BD
recorder (DMR-BW900: Panasonic). Then unit can display the title of the disc on
TOP MENU, but can not play it after choose a title.
4) Unit does not turn on when push the POWER button twice after set the setting
of "Power save mode" to "quick mode".
5) DVD-A1UDCI is incompatible with D-BOX motion control system.
6) The unit can not connect to Ethernet with proxy condition.
7) When play a disk (BD-R/RE) which is recorded by SHARP BD recorder BD-
HDW20, only "katakana (ex. ...)" of a title recorded in BD-R/RE is not
displayed.
8) The synchronization of the image of the wallpaper is disturbed when pushing
the SOURCE button without SD card.

Solution: The malfunctions occurred due to bugs in the firmware.

COUNTERMEASURE via DPMS (D&M Product Management Server) Please
do not use a Proxy for updating in the Network environment! If customer uses
setting of Proxy, the unit doesn't update the firmware properly.

Caution: It is necessary to initialize the unit before the update work begins. The
customer has to initialize their BD/DVD Player. Please update the firmware after
you confirm this matter to the customer beforehand.

Preparation for Recovery of the firmware
1) Turn the Power Supply of the unit off.
) Connect the Ethernet terminal of the unit to the Network line by Ethernet
straight cable. (Don't use Ethernet cross cable.)
3) The connection of the network recommends the Ethernet cable for certain
update.
4) Turn the Power Supply of the unit on.
5) Remove the Disc from the Tray.
6) Please confirm! "NO DISC" on the FL Display.
7) The unit sets the Internet. It wishes waiting for about two minutes until
customer's router ends the setting.

The update doesn't succeed when the customer's set cannot correctly hook up to
the Internet. In this case, please confirm the internet environment of the
customers house. Check to see if the customers set can receive internet radio.
There are some problems under the internet environment when the Internet radio
cannot be received.

8) Press "SETUP" button on the Remote control and indicates the GUI menu.
9) Press "CURSOR" button. The GUI indicates, "Network Setup" > "DHCP" >
"On".
10) Press the "ENTER" button.
11) Please wait about 10 seconds until the DHCP function turns on.

Caution: The update interrupts when it is not possible to connect it with the
Internet correctly. In this case, please do from 1) again.

11) Select the "Start" on GUI.

12) Press the "ENTER" button.
13) The firmware will start updating.

Caution: When the firmware update starts correctly, the GUI, the audio signal,
everything stops, and become the update operation.

14) When updating starts, the power indicator lights red.
15) The GUI display disappears, and becomes only FL display.
16) During update, a rough remaining time is indicated on the display. When
updating is complete the power indicator lights green and
