General note Before a repair is made, the switch should be into position "off" while turning Control knob to position "minimum". The plug has to be pulled from the outlet and all attachments removed from the appliance. Note for Screws (34) The special Screws. which are located in the base plate (32), can only be removed with a screwdriver furnished with a special blade insert. This special blade insert for screwdriver can only be ordered from the parts department. Disasssembly 1. Cover (10) / Over-pressure valve (11) : Remove four screws (12) only. 2. Control knob (5)/ Spring ring (7)/ Cover bush (6): Pull off Control knob from Control valve with steam pipe (8). Then turn Cover bush in counter clockwise direction and also remove by pulling-off from Control valve (8). 3. Bayonet catch (23)/Filter (21)/Sealing (20): Remove four Screws (24) from Bayonet catch, however only one screw has to be removed from the Filter and the Sealing. 4. Base plate (32)/Mains lead (25)/Switch (31): Remove three Screws (34) in the Base plate and take Base plate from Housing lower part (28). 5. Control valve with steam valve (8) : Remove Control Knob (5) and Cover bush (6). Take a 12 mm wrench (open end type) and remove the Control valve from boiler by turning wrench into counter-clockwise direction. 6. Boiler cpl. (14)/shower head cpl. (18)/ Housing upper part (26)/ Housing lower part (28)/ Intermediate part (27): Remove Control valve (8) and three screws (16) located the Housing upper part. Lift Upper housing on the rear side and slide a small distance towards the front, then lift up and remove. After removing the two screws (19), the Shower head and the intermediate part can be separated from the boiler. After the connecting wires have been disconnected from the Switch (31) and the four Screws (16) have been removed from the Holder (15), the Boiler cpl. can be pulled from the Housing lower part in an upward direction. 7. Seal ring (17) / Sealing (13/20) / Copper washer (9): In order to replace these parts, the corresponding subassembly has to be disassembled. This has to be performed with utmost caution. 8. Overheating protection: These parts must not be exchanged when defective. Assembly In general, the assembly follows the above mentioned procedure in reverse. The sealing parts, the Seal ring and the Copper washer have to be assembled very carefully. The assembled product must not indicate a leakage in any place. The wiring has to be checked prior the assembly of the base plate. The connecting wires must not be damaged or pinched. For a proper strain relief, the Mains lead has to be installed between the ribs provided for. After each repair, the brewing function should be checked as well as proper steaming.
