Be very carefull while handling monitor not to put any pressure on the LCD screen!!! This can result in unrepairable permanent pressure marks!!!

Find a knife like this:

Remove 4 screws holding on base:

Start by carefully opening the bottom of casing:

Next carefully work around to opening both sides of casing:

Now both the bottom and sides should be released, but the top side of casing is still together. Next pull up slowly and carefully from the bottom to release top edge of casing, it shouldn't take much force unless you have failed to release the side catches right near the top.

Now the back cover is removed:

Next remove thin sheet metal and peel back foil cover:

Next carefully unplug inverter plugs, some units have 4 plugs some just 2 depending upon panel manufacturer:

Next carefully unplug LCD panel plugs and (slide wiring out of metal spring clip if present). Then unplug front button plug:

Remove the assembly from front bezel by releasing plastic catches around edges.

Now remove the 4 frame screws, there are two on each side. Now carefully lift the frame off of the LCD panel while making sure wiring doesn't hang up:

Remove black plastic clip over power cord input. Unscrew studs on VGA port and then the sheet metal clip:

Now remove all the screws on both boards and on ground wire, next while pressing up on inverter plugs with one hand release the plastic anchors with free hand. Now boards should be free to be removed, carefully lift both out paying special attention to NOT placing a lot of strain on the interconnecting plug. Once removed boards may be pulled apart:

You now have the inverter board removed! This is the larger of the two boards.
