COPY OPERATION
[1] 2-in-1/4-in1
Plural originals are copied on a single copy paper. originals are copied in the order of reading originals for a [2-in-1 mode], and originals are copied in the order to a weekly-magazine binding for a [4-in-1 mode].

[2] Inter-sheet Mode
This mode is used to insert blank sheets of colored paper, for example, at arbitrary positions among the copies, or to copy arbitrary originals on colored paper, for example.

A paper with a different type can be inserted between ordinary copy papers without being copied. a. (2) Press the inter-sheet button to select an inter-sheet mode. [3] OHP Interleave Mode
When copying on an OHP film, white paper (OHP mode) or copy paper for the same original (OHP copy mode) is ejected as a lining paper.

[5] Proof Copy
When printing plural sets, conduct output for printing for only one set first, then stop printing temporarily, change a mode, and then conduct printing for the remaining sets.

1. Selection of OHP interleave mode
Each time the OHP interleave button is pressed, a mode is changed.

1. Conditions of use
a. b. c. d. Combination with a density monitor function is impossible. Under the interruption mode, the proof copy is not accepted. The proof copy can not be selected under the group mode. The proof copy can not be selected under the platen copy.

An output button is not accepted. A cassette other than a tray for by-pass feed can be designated for interleave, and its size is required to be the same as the OHP film.

(1) Press the repeat button. (2) Set the original to be copied repeatedly so that the original is aligned with the trailing edge (rear side on the left) of the A3 scale plate. (3) Set the image area to be copied with an increment of 1 mm using the copy quantity setting button. (0 - 150) (4) When a set/F1 button is pressed, the image area is decided. (5) Use a copy button to print on a single copy paper repeatedly. While printing is stopped temporarily, the following mode or function can be changed. a. [6] Book Memory Function
In a platen mode, originals are scanned one by one, and images thus stored in ERDH are printed on a nonstop basis. In a platen mode, it is possible to perform an operation identical to outputting in an ADF mode.

[7] Image insertion Function
Establishment of sheet numbers makes it possible to insert an image read with platen in any place in images taken in with ADF original.

[8] Chapter Control Function
Be sure to make the forefront of each chapter to be the face side of a page. In setting the original sheet number of the forefront of each chapter in a one-sided original/duplex copy mode, when that sheet falls on the back side of a page, it is necessary that the back page is ejected without being copied and the following face side page is copied.

[9] Non-image Area Erase Function
This is a function on the assumption of book copy, and it detects an original through pre-scanning and thereby erases an original margin automatically, when copying in the state of opened ADF. 1. Conditions of use a. An ADF is opened. 2. How to operate (1) Open the ADF. (2) Press the non-image area erasure button. (3) Set an original on a platen. (4) Use a copy button for printing. 3. Others When an ADF is closed, images on an entire page of the original are outputted. (An area exceeding the original size can also be used for copying, when necessary.)

Under the condition that the ERDH mode can not be selected, the chapter control function can not be selected. In a super fine mode, the chapter control function is canceled automatically. In a reading mode, a reading LED is flickered. In writing mode (the job memory writer mode), a writing LED is flickered.

2. Writing method
(1) Display a copy pattern written on the job memory on a display panel. (2) Press the job memory button and select the writing mode (the job memory writer mode). (3) Input the writer number by means of the copy quantity setting button (0 to 9). (4) After writing is completed, the writing LED is lit.

3. Reading method
(1) Press the job memory button, and select the reading mode. (2) Input the register number already registered by means of the copy quantity setting button (0 to 9). (3) The copy pattern read is displayed on the display panel. (4) Press the P button, and finalize. (5) After reading is completed, the reading LED is flickered.

[12] Book Copy Mode
It copies an original image (1 page) for 2 pages in terms of one side or copies on the face side and the rear side of a copy paper.

It is impossible to change the order of pages. It is impossible to provide a white paper. When 2 in 1/4 in 1 button is pressed in selecting a book copy mode, papers can be changed to the order of copying in the same order of the 2 in 1 mode.

[11] Black-and-White Reversal Mode
Reverse a white portion and black portion in a valid region.

Note: For the machines equipped with controller ROM C1/C2 of Ver.15 or older, or image process ROM of Ver 14 or older; When the book copy mode and a function of erasing outside original are selected concurrently, the range of erasing outside the original is not guaranteed for non-regular size documents.

2. Setting method
(1) Press the book copy button. (2) Set an original (1 page) covering 2 pages of a one side in a platen mode. (3) Press a set/F1 button, and read the original on the memory. (4) Repeat (2) and (3) above for the entire original. (5) After reading the entire original, press the set/F1 button for finalizing. (6) Print it by means of the copy button.

OPERATION

[13] Operation for Memory Overflow
1. Real time output mode
One copy for the scanned data is outputted, and the copy operation stops regardless of the selected copy quantity. The memory overflow message will appear alternatively.

2. Memory output mode
The scanned data is maintained. After the machine stops running, the memory overflow message will appear alternatively. In this case, no copy paper exit will be executed.

When you continue copying:
(1) Press the copy button to copy the rest of the selected number of the scanned data. · The staple is canceled if it is selected, and the copy operation is executed in the sorting mode. · If the second and later copy is operated, the page that was during process when the memory overflow has occurred, is not copied. Therefore, note that one or two pages may be skipped. (2) When the selected number of copies are completed, the copy operation stops and all memory will be cleared. [1] Independent Magnification Change Function
Each of lengthwise magnification and widthwise magnification is changed independently for copying.

2. Setting arbitrary magnification 2
(1) Select the fixed magnification mode with a magnification button, and select the arbitrary magnification 2 with an enlargement ( ) button. (2) Press the magnification button while pressing a P button under the condition that "arbitrary magnification 1" is set. (3) Set the magnification with a copy quantity setting button. (50 - 400%) (4) Press the P button for completion of setting.

Normal mode: To be selected when the number of originals is large. Fine mode: To be selected when the number of originals is small and image quality is important. Super fine mode: To be selected for a delicate original such as a photographic original.

When a password is registered, input of the password is required in the case of setting of a weekly timer and a forced start mode. The password is inputted by a serviceman in a 47-160 mode. Also on a copy quantity display, the number is indicated by being divided into three each including 2 digits from the higher position. (Example) The number of the drum count is 12345.
