An Emerson TV/VCR Combo unit. When you power on the TV using the remote or manually at the TV, it comes on then shuts right back off.
Can you hear any high voltage, when the TV starts? if not, try to measure the secundairy voltages, and so check if there are shorted ciruits on the mainboard! The primairy power supply will shut down when ever a short is detected on the secundary side (e.g. highvoltage or deflection circuit)

At sw on led blinks once onlythen dead, if powered up with mains sw on led lit perm
D811 opto faulty. To check, s/c pri pins of oto coupler when it should then work ok. On normal operation you have 1,2Volts on the secondary side pins, that drop to 0,6V on standby.

PIN code unsetting - "Type in 4 digit code" message
Hold down both prog & vol minus(-) button on TV & switch on. Release buttons & you should be in service mode.Navigate with arrow buttons on remote to "Setup" then select "Erase Pin" by holding down the right arrow button for 5 secs until yellow tick appears in box.You must backtrack to find the "Quit" option to exit & store the new info.
