AFTER A FEW SECONDS, THE CHANNEL DISPLAY WILL GO OUT AND THE SCREEN PROMPT "SERVICE 05" WILL APPEAR. PULL DOWN THE FRONT COVER OF THE REMOTE CONTROL HANDSET TO REVEAL THE VCR CONTROLS PRESS THE TWO RECORD BUTTONS TWICE. THIS WILL BRING UP THE "TUBE" MENU.PRESS THE TELETEXT BUTTON ON THE REMOTE HANDSET,AND THE WORDS "TEXT SERVICE MODE" WILL FLASH YOU CAN NOW ADJUST THE DATA CAPTURE WINDOW BY USING THE BLUE COLOURED BUTTONS ON THE REMOTE HANDSET IT IS RECOMENDED THAT YOU START BY PRESSING THE BOTTOM BLUE BUTTON.EACH TIME YOU PRESS THE BUTTON WILL MOVE THE ADJUSTMENT ONE "NOTCH". YOU MAY NEED TO PRESS THE BUTTON 7-10 TIMES WHEN THE TEXT CLOCK STARTS TO RUN NOTE THAT POSITION. THEN CONTINUE TO PRESS THE SAME BLUE BUTTON ON THE REMOTE HANDSET,NOTING THE NUMBER OF EXTRA PRESSES REQUIRED,UNTIL THE TEXT CLOCK STOPS ONCE AGAIN. NOW USING THE UPPER BLUE BUTTON,MOVE THE SETTING HALFWAY BETWEEN THE TWO POINTS YOU HAVE JUST NOTED I.E. IF THERE ARE EIGHT STEPS BETWEEN THE TWO POINTS AT WHICH THE TEXT CLOCK STOPS THEN PRESS THE UPPER BLUE BUTTON FOUR TIMES. WHEN YOU HAVE REACHED THIS POINT THE TEXT SHOULD RUN NORMALLY.PRESS THE STORE BUTTON ON THE REMOTE HANDSET AND THEN GO TO STANDBY TO EXIT THE SERVICE MODE. IF FOLLOWING THIS ADJUSTMENT THESE SETTINGS WILL NOT STORE, REPLACE I.C.2002 PART No E740007 14-09-04
