Tries to start up but shuts down into standby within seconds of pressing the power switch.
Replace the 2SC2925STA line driver transistor (Q502) which had an open circuit b-e junction and also replace the X24C0501UA EAROM chip (IC1102) which had become corrupted.

Panasonic TX29GF10 29" won't start. I can hear a clicking sound when I try to switch it on by remote or otherwise.
First try to find out if you've got the correct voltage's on the secundaire site of the power suply. Sometimes e.g. there is a short-circuit in the deflection circuit, and the power suply goes into a "safe-mode". Also check the status of the "stand by"-led.
