| Matsui | TVR185T | Dead - 330v across mains cap | STRF6707 IC501 | 14-09-2004 |
| Matsui | TVR2062 | Bright red screen at sw on then cuts out | CRT faulty - a gentle tap may help! | 14-09-2004 |
| Matsui | TVR2062TS | Stuck in Protect Mode | First attempt to guess the four digit code by using any random numbers. On your third unsuccessful try the unit will stop asking for pin numbers on screen and go into the "protect mode" Within 5 seconds hold in the volume down on the TV at the same time as pushing the Number "7" on the remote handset. The set should then come on in the "unprotected mode" & you can see & alter the pin code in the correct menu if you desire. BTW if you have made three incorrect guess, this set has to be left unplugged for sometime B4 it allows you to guess again! It will go into standby within 10 seconds after "protect" is flashed on the screen. | 14-09-2004 |
| Matsui | VTR161 | Field dist | 68k 1/4 watt R425 from pin 3 of fo/p chip IC402 LA7837 was going O/C as the PCB was being flexed. | 14-09-2004 |
| Matsui | VTR161 | No sound | safety res R 511 6R8 1w - feeds the sound output stage +B rail to the VCR PCB was O/C. This resistor is located at the front of the TV PCB at the bottom & hidden by a large black heatsink carrying a couple of regulators. | 14-09-2004 |
