Subject: Change of CRT type.
Background: There will be a need to carry out some minor preparatory work when
fitting either of the two types of C.R.T supplied by Spare Parts.
Please see information below.
C.R.T. Types:
A66ECF50X12 Old versions
A59ECF50X12
When you receive either of these two C.R.T's from MELUK spares the
Velocity Modulation coil will not be supplied. We therefore advise service
personnel to transfer the SVM coil from existing to the replacement C.R.T.
Note: No alignment is required for the S. V.M. coil, replace in same position
on new C.R.T. as the old one.
When existing stocks are exhausted they will be replaced by C.R.T's listed below.
A66ECF50X32 New Versions
A59ECF50X32
These replacement C.R.T's have the Velocity Modulation coil already fitted.
However the S.V.M. coils on the new C.R.T's have a different connecting clip,
so when using in an earlier production set with previous version C.R.T. it
will be necessary to replace the wire connecting the S.V.M. coils to the P.C.B.
This wire is supplied with the new version C.R.T's.
