Subject: The On-Screen Display disappears the first time the TV is set up

Symptom / Cause: The On-Screen Display disappears the first time the TV is set up.


Remedy / Method: This applies to all units prior to serial number: N*-5420001
Upgrade the set software to version 3.208

Preparation
Prepare a USB memory device with a capacity around 2Gb to 4Gb
Obtain a copy of the compressed software from your ususal service source

Upgrade Procedure
1. Uncompress the software and copy to the root directory of the USB memory device
2. With the set disconnected from mains power, insert the USB memory device into USB1 socket on the TV
3. Whilst pressing and holding the volume down/minus ("-") button, connect mains power
- The red LED will illuminate steadily
- After a short while, the red LED will then start to blink slowly
4. When the red LED starts blinking slowly, release the volume down/minus ("-") button
- The red LED will continue to blink slowly whilst the set software is upgrading
5. When the red LED stops blinking, remove the USB memory device
6. Disconnect the mains power, then re-connect mains power
- For a short while nothing will appear to happen
- Then the red LED will blink once, then the green LED will start blinking
7. Once the set starts the auto setup process, self check the set to confirm the software version
