Subject:- External speaker connections.
Background:- We have received reports of PCB connections pins on external speaker assemby
being found broken when the set has been tested after being repaired for other
reasons.
Remedy:- Correct removal / refitting of backcover assembly when carrying out repairs.
Method:-
1. Place set on a suitable flat surface.
2. Remove the retaining screws from backcover positioned as show on diagram
below.
3. When screws have been removed the backcover may still be held in place by
sound insulation felts on backcover, by applying a small amount of pressure the
backcover can be eased from TV cabinet until clear of TV. chassis.
4. Replacement of backcover is the reversal of the above procedure.
NOTE:- There are 10 screws securing backcover to cabinet.
Do not use any undue pressure when removing or refitting backcover.
