M430 DUAL OUTPUT MONITOR - OPERATING SYSTEM
Each single width module carries two identical control sections intended for situations where frame capacity for M410
inputs must be maximised. Only eight M430 are needed for 16 track operation, twelve for 24 track, a 50% space saving
compared with M420 output/monitor module types. The saving is achieved by use of dual concentric controls, omission of
the group assign section and sharing one equaliser between two monitors. The majority of the module panel is dedicated to
the controls of two monitor input sections to the stereo mix. Each has three sources; output, tape input or return input.
Both have access to the auxiliary mixes and are part of the SOLO MUTE and SSR Automute systems.
Two large faders occupy one module space below and are normally group output faders with MUTE and PFL/AFL.
Fader reverse allows either or both large faders to be exchanged with the rotary monitor level controls.
430 modules are the choice when space is limited yet maximum inputs to the mix are required.
Audio flow and audio connections are shown above and below.

M430 AUDIO CONNECTIONS
Two identical sets of connections for odd and even outputs and monitors. Per set:
Internal patch-point for monitor meter.

300mV group output on RCA phono socket.

XLR electronic balanced group output at +4dBv level.
Pin 2 is + phase. Compensated for unbalanced operation at constant level.

Insertion point for group output, pre fader, at OdBv level.

Return In and Tape In electronic balanced inputs at +4dBv level to the monitor section.

Tip is + phase or insert send.
Ring is -- phase or insert return.
