NVM Data Corruption During Autoprogramming [REVISION]

SYMPTOM Incorrect picture size or geometry, no menu, no teletext, incorrect TV system, white balance too red, etc. CAUSE Some of the NVM data of IC002 are corrupted by a software bug when more than 60 programmes are captured during autoprogramming. SOLUTION Teletext models
· Replace Microcontroller IC001 according to the following table.

· Readjust the corrupted data. If teletext does not operate, apply "TT18" to enable teletext. · Check the 16:9 mode setting in the Service Mode. If it is "ON", change it to "OFF" as follows:
Enter the Service Mode. Press the menu button to show the menu on the screen. Change the 16:9 setting from "ON" to "OFF". Turn the power off to quit the Service Mode.
Non-teletext models
· Replace Microcontroller IC001 (SAA5288ZP-014 or SAA5290ZP-045) with SAA5288ZP-024 (8-759-452-19). · Readjust the corrupted data. If teletext is available, apply "TT18" to disable teletext. · Check the 16:9 mode setting in the Service Mode. If it is "ON", change it to "OFF" as follows:
Enter the Service Mode. Press the menu button to show the menu on the screen. Change the 16:9 setting from "ON" to "OFF". Turn the power off to quit the Service Mode.
