SUBJECT: Burnt Capacitor Background: Location C805 and C516 capacitors could burn and cause R513, R507, and Q501 to fail. This will cause a No Video symptom.
Cause:
Capacitors were under-rated at 1kV before August 30, 2001 manufacturing date. Defective capacitor type is shown below.
Solution:
To correct the symptom Samsung has changed the capacitor value from 1kV to 2kV.
