This readme file contains information regarding the following
subjects:
- Instructions for using this CD-ROM on a PC
- A list of the PDF files on the CD-ROM
- Instructions for copying the PDF files from the
CD-ROM to a hard drive

Instructions for using this CD-ROM on a PC
==========================================
(If you already have Adobe Acrobat Reader with Search
loaded on your PC, go to step 2.)
1. Install Acrobat Reader with Search on your PC.
If you have Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows NT,
click on Start, Run, and type:
D:\ACROBAT\ACROREAD\WIN\Rdr_srch\32BIT\SETUP.EXE
(where D: is the drive letter for your CD-ROM drive)
If you have Windows 3.1 click on File, Run, and type:
D:\ACROBAT\ACROREAD\WIN\Rdr_srch\16BIT\SETUP.EXE
(where D: is the drive letter for your CD-ROM drive)
2. Launch Acrobat Reader after installation is complete.
3. Open D:\8714\8714\mainmenu.pdf. This is the Main Menu file in
PDF (portable document format). This menu contains document
descriptions and navigation links to all other documents on
this CD-ROM.

A note regarding navigation links in Netscape Navigator:
The navigation links in the Main Menu may not function
as you expect when Acrobat Reader is launched from
Netscape Navigator. See "Reading Embedded PDF files"
in the Acrobat Reader Online Guide, available in the Help menu.

Instructions for copying the PDF files to a hard drive
======================================================
1. Create a directory that matches the CD-ROM directory
structure (for example, C:\8714). This is required to
preserve the hypertext links used for navigating among
documents on the CD-ROM.
2. Copy all files from D:\8714 to the newly created directory.
