I Installing the Printer Controller
1. Cut out the blank cover on the back side of the machine.
2. Reach into the hole made in step 1 and pull out the power cord, consisting of two green cables and two yellow cables, from the inside.
NOTE Before performing the setting-up procedures, be sure to unplug the power cord of the machine from the power outlet.
3. Remove the three screws from the housing.

4. At the back of the Printer Controller, plug in the power cord.

5. Secure the Printer Controller to the machine with six screws. Long Screw (3×40mm)............... 4 Short Screw (3×16mm) .............. 2

(1) Short Harness with Ferrite Core 1. Remove the screw from the back side of the machine and connector cover at the Paper Take-Up Unit.

6. Connect one end of the Engine I/F Cable to the printer port on the machine and the other end to the printer port on the Printer Controller.
2. Disconnect the PJ1 harness.

3. Connect the PJ1 harness to the Short Harness with Ferrite Core contained in the kit as illustrated on the left.

4. Casefully, reinstall the connector cover to the Paper Take-Up Unit. NOTE Use care to prevent the wiring from being caught between the machine frame and connector cover.

(2) Ferrite Core (When the Printer Cable is used) Printer Cable Attach the Ferrite Core and Tie Band to the Printer Cable at the positions shown.
