Subject: Poor Registration Date: September 23, 1994

Symptom:
(33) After replacing the CRT the Technician was not able to get satisfactory
registration.

Solution: A magnetized screwdriver was used to tighten the Yoke ring clamp during service.
This magnetic screwdriver caused the ring clamp around the CRT neck to become
magnetized. Due to the magnetism the unit was not able to be registered
satisfactorily. Removing the ring clamp and degaussing it, using the Sony hand
degausser, cured the problem. Make sure to degauss the clamp away from the unit.

Please do not use a magnetized screwdriver when adjusting or replacing the CRT.
