Subject: No Audio With MDX-U1 Or XDP-U50D. Date: March 25, 1996
Symptom:
(51) There is no audio when the CDX-91 is connected to the MDX-U1 or XDP-U50D via
the analog connection (the audio is normal when the digital connection is used).
Solution: This problem may occur if IC31 on the CDX-91 SERVO board is the newest type
(CXP84332-014Q). If the above mentioned symptom occurs, and if IC31 is the
newest type, replace it with the former type (CXP84332-008Q). Also, if the suffix of
the silkscreened part number on the MD board is "-13" a trace on the MD board must
be cut as shown in the illustration. Finally, if the XDP-U50D is being used, make
sure that the procedure described in Car Stereo Service Bulletin # 377 has also been
performed.
