-Recalculate enables analysis of one waveform several ways.

V2.0.1 (2007-Apr-30)
-Improved handling of long record-length acquisitions.
-Added "WiMedia / Wireless-USB Compliance Test" mode
(enables CPE filter and limits analysis to 96 symbols).
-Correction to EVM calculation when using CPE filter.
-Corrected behavior when Data Rate is set to "Manual"
and packet contains more than 96 symbols.
-Updated Constellation plot to reflect all symbols
analyzed (had been limited to first 100 symbols only).
-Corrected a GPIB bus timeout problem which could lead to
application lock-up under certain acquisition conditions.

V2.0.0 (2007-Mar-21)
-Initial general release of TekUWB.
-Analyze how complex wideband signals change in frequency
and amplitude with time using Spectrograms to 20GHz.
-Measure how signal power is distributed with frequency
using Power Spectral Density plots to 20GHz.
-Analyze specific signals in the presence of other traffic
using time-gating and/or packet-selection within records
up to 200 Mpts.
-Correlate Frequency-domain to Time-domain with cursors
linking Amplitude-vs-time and frequency-vs-time displays.
-Automatically detect all 10 Time Frequency Codes and all
8 data rates directly from WiMedia RF waveforms for easy
setup and analysis.
-Digital down conversion, demodulation and analysis of all
6 WiMedia Bandgroups.
-QPSK and DCM constellations and EVM tests based on the
automatically detected data rate.
-Adjacent Channel Power Ratio measurements in all bands
within a bandgroup from a single waveform.
-"Test All" function makes quick work of analysis, results
logging and export of MB-OFDM modulated waveform files.

4. Release Notes

- "Analysis Type" popup-menu has 5 options:
-Spectral Only (no modulation)
-Spectral + Down conversion
-WiMedia MB-OFDM Modulation
-WiMedia MB-OFDM Modulation w/CPE Correction
-WiMedia / Wireless-USB Compliance Test

- Default mode is "Spectral Only".

- When performing a WiMedia analysis:
-The user should select the appropriate bandgroup for the
signal being studied via the "Band Group" buttons (1-6).
-This application can auto-detect the TFC of the signal.
However, if problems are encountered during demodulation,
the user can override auto-detection by toggling the
Auto/Manual button in the TFC section of the UI and then
selecting a new TFC via the up/down arrows.
-This application can also auto-detect the data rate.
However, if problems are encountered during demodulation,
the user can override auto-detection by toggling the
Auto/Manual button in the Data Rate section of the UI and
then selecting a new data rate via the up/down arrows.
-If the data rate is set to "Auto", then the number of
symbols to analyze is determined automatically from the
packet header. If the data rate is set to "Manual", then
all symbols found when scanning through the packet payload
are analyzed.
-For the Compliance Test (menu item 4), the CPE filter is
activated and only the first 96 symbols are analyzed.
-The application display is modified as follows:
-Power Spectral Density analysis is separated by band,
and ACPR, mask test, and power measurements are
included.
-The Constellation plot and EVM analysis are included.
-The Information box (containing date, scope setting,
etc.) includes additional information on modulation.
-The Results History is populated.

- Packet detection and selection:
-This application features a packet detector which scans
the waveform and tries to identify the presence of a
finite-duration signal. When multiple packets have been
identified, the user can select which packet to analyze
via the "Packet Selection" buttons on the UI:
-1st: Analyze first packet only
-2nd: Analyze second packet only
-3rd: Analyze third packet only
-4th: Analyze fourth packet only
-ALL: Analyze all packets in succession (100 max)
-OFF: Analyze entire waveform (ignore packets)

- Interactive zoom feature is available on all plots:
-Click and drag to select zoom area.
-Click once w/out dragging to zoom back to previous view.
-Double-click to return to full view.

- Details on WiMedia terminology:
-Band numbering: There are 14 bands each 528MHz wide across
the 3100MHz-10600MHz UWB spectrum.
-Bandgroups: There are 6 "bandgroups" within this spectrum.
-Bandgroups 1-4 and 6 consist of three 528 MHz bands, while
bandgroup 5 consists of only two 528 MHz bands.
-Bandgroups 1-5 lie in sequence across the UWB spectrum.
-Bandgroup 6 straddles bandgroups 3 and 4, sharing 2 bands
from bandgroup 3, and 1 band from bandgroup 4.
-Time Frequency Codes (TFC): 10 hopping patterns which
determine the logical channelization. Bandgroup 5 has only
4 possible TFCs because it occupies only two 528MHz bands.
This software automatically determines TFC from the RF
waveform, though manual TFC specification is possible on the
UI in order to aid in debugging problematic waveforms.
-Common Phase Error (CPE) of the transmitter is corrected on
a symbol-by-symbol basis in the EVM calculation.
-CPE filtering analysis allows the EVM calculation to "see"
the transmitter's phase noise impairments.
-The EVM is calculated over the payload of the packet only.
The calculation includes initial channel estimation using
the CE symbols and phase and timing estimation and
correction using the pilot tones as well as estimating the
frequency offset. The phase error is estimated using the
pilot tones and the timing error and common phase error is
calculated. Timing error is corrected. The CPE is applied
to the CPE filter if the appropriate WiMedia analysis type
is selected in the popup menu (see above).
For each data and pilot subcarier the Euclidean distance to
the closest constellation point is calculated. The RMS
error is calculated using the WiMedia equation. The pk error
is also displayed as well as pass/fail according to the test
specification limits.

5. Known Problems and Limitations

- Tektronix Ultra Wideband Spectral Analysis requires:
-Minimum acquisition sample rate: 250MS/s
-Minimum acquisition record length: 1kpts

- When using TekUWB with very long captured waveforms (generally
over 200 Mpts), it is possible for the application to run out
of available memory with the operating system. This condition
depends on the number of other applications running, the
length of the waveform being analyzed, and what type of
analysis is being performed. If an "OUT OF MEMORY" error
message is encountered, we recommend using the time gating
feeature on the oscilloscope to reduce the amount of data being
analyzed. To use this feature, place the instrument cursors
around the part of the captured waveform you wish to analyze
before beginning an analysis with TekUWB.

===============================================================
6. Installation
