4. Known Limitations

- Before switching to another application, ensure that no measurements are running.
Switching applications while a measurement is running may cause the system to stop responding.

- Combining the manual and RGPIB modes may cause the application to behave unexpectedly.

- Report Generator scope screenshots might not appear clear on the oscilloscope.
However, the prints of the screenshots are clear.

- Changing scale in SOA Mask editor clears the already drawn mask.

6. Installation

Normally, the DPOPWR application resides on the hard drive of
your oscilloscope. If the application is not installed on hard disk,
perform the following steps to install the application from
the Optional Applications Software on a Windows-based Oscilloscope
CD or DVD:

1. If the keyboard is not installed, connect it to the oscilloscope rear
panel (the optional-accessory keyboard plugs into the USB connector)

2. Power on the oscilloscope to start Windows

3. Insert the optional applications software CD/DVD in the CD or DVD drive
of the oscilloscope

4. The autorun utility will start the installation program

5. Select the option 'Power Measurement and Analysis Software'

6. Select the option 'INSTALL NOW'

7. You will need to enter the authorized Option Installation Key to enable
the application. The key is specific to the serialized oscilloscope and
options for which it was purchased. Do not enter this key until all
application software that you have purchased has been installed. To
enter the key number, follow these steps:

a. Power on the oscilloscope, the TekScope application will launch in Menu mode
b. Go to the Utilities menu in the menu bar and select Option
Installation.
c. Follow the on-screen instructions to enter the alphanumeric key
number exactly as it is printed on the rear-panel label.

NOTE:
1. If the autorun utility fails to start in step 4, then select the My Computer icon.
In the Exploring My Computer window, select the drive letter associated with the
CD or DVD (for example, D:) drive. Select the file LAUNCH.EXE to start the
installation program. Complete the installation process by performing steps
5 to 7 as mentioned above.

The DPOPWR application is now ready for use. Start the application by
using ANALYZE -> Power Analysis or Measure ->Power Analysis menu selection on the oscilloscope menu.

2. The Report Generator feature requires the IVI components to be installed.
Ensure that the latest version is installed on the oscilloscope correctly.
Follow these steps in case you have problems using Report Generator through
DPOPWR (e.g., if you see messages like "Failed to create TekScope instance"):
a. Uninstall IVI Drivers from Add/Remove Programs
b. Reboot the oscilloscope
c. Uninstall IVI Shared Components by running CleanupUtility.exe
at "C:\ProgramFiles\Tektronix\IVISharedComponentInstall"
d. Reboot the oscilloscope
e. Uninstall TekScope Firmware and reboot the oscilloscope
f. Install TekScope Firmware and reboot the oscilloscope
