Subject: Countermeasure to Prevent RGB Amplifier Date: July 17, 2001
Damage
Symptom:
(1311) RGB Amplifier, either IC702 or IC502 depending on the model may fail.
Cause All units coming in for repair regardless of symptom should have the following
countermeasure added to the set if it has not already been installed.
1. Add JR501 & JR2003 on the "A" Board
2. Add C706 to the CB/CA Board
3. This countermeasure should be done on all models of the BA-5 chassis produced
in year 2000. (Please verify by manufacturing date label on rear cabinet)
