Symptom:
(**) The list on page 2 represents the error codes which may appear when
operating the above mentioned models in the test mode. Some models
display a 2-digit code, while others display a 4-digit code. The last 2 digits of
the 4-digit code are always "F0".

The error codes are displayed in the following format:
2-digit error code models: "E- n1 n2"; 4-digit error code models: "ERR- n1 n2 F 0"

0= No Magazine * 0

1= Servo Error 1= Focus not on
2= Spindle runaway (GFS low for 5 seconds)
3=Sled maximum time exceeded
4= Tracking not on (GFS not achieved at
start of play)
5= TOC data unreadable

2 = Selected Disc Not Present * 0

3= Loading/Eject Error 1= Disc position sensor maximum detection
time exceeded
2= Foreign object, or perhaps an 8cm disc
adapter without a disc, has been inserted.
3= Maximum time from load start to
chucking complete exceeded
4= Maximum time from eject start to eject
complete exceeded.

4 = Skipping 1= Loss of focus while playing
2= Inadvertant track jump
3= Hang up

8= Self-Store (this means that after the disc is 0
ejected at the end of the test mode, the
disc was automatically reloaded because
the operator did not remove the disc within
15 seconds).

C= No Discs Found In Magazine * 0

D= High Temperature In Mechanism 0

F= Mechanism Can't Complete Process * 1= CBS (Come Back Search)
2= DGS (Disc Get Search)
3= Load
4= Save
5= LVO (Lever Out)
6= GTH (Go To Home)
7= Eject
8= PSET (Magazine Set)
9= Forced Eject
A= GTH (Go To Home at reset)
F= EEPROM error

* These codes may appear while a CD changer is connected to the unit and playing during
test mode.
