Subject: Change of Thermal Fuse Location Date: February 2, 2000
Symptom:
(XXXX) Change of fuse location
Solution: The following are instructions on how to change the thermal fuse (CN5009) location
on the "C" Board.
Serial number range affected
2,000,001-2,000,920
Circuit change Procedure:
1. Remove screw (+P3X8) fixing the power block shield cover.
2. Remove lug securing the thermal fuse.
3. Reinstall and tighten screw (+P3X8)
4. Remove two screws (+P3X8) fixing the "C" Board.
5. Slightly raise the "C" Board, and install lug on the projection
of the PCB holder. (B)
6. Lock the "C" Board with the claw of the PCB holder (B).
Caution: The "C" Board should not extend over the projection.
7. Reinstall and tighten two screws (+P3X8).
8. Install the thermal fuse with the tip in the direction of the folded portion
of the fan bracket, and secure it firmly with the lug.
Note: The tip of the thermal fuse should not touch the shield cover.
