Subject: Intermittent Picture With Certain Brand DTV Date: October 30, 2001

Symptom:
(F311) Intermittent picture drop outs when certain brand DTV receivers are connected by
component video to the Video 5 input on the TV.
Cause: Large DC bounce of 1080i signal during scene transition output from DTV receiver.
This signal is out of the TV's clamping range.
Solution: If the customer should complain of the symptom above the following circuit change
should be implemented
