Subject: Adjustment Of Lumisponder Range Date: January 28, 1997
Symptom:
(122) Picture is not bright enough in a dark room with Lumisponder On.
Solution: The Lumisponder range can be adjusted as follows:
1. Enter the service Menu and select the DPDV register. See page 11 of the
Adjustment manual item number 41.
2. Turn off the lights in the room to set the worst case low light range.
3. Adjust DPDV until the desired brightness is achieved.
The default setting from the factory is typically 2, but some customers may perceive
this setting as too dim.
Note: It takes a few seconds for the TV circuit to react to the change but, if you watch
carefully you can see the change in brightness steps.
