RTC-BATTERY MODIFICATION

If there are complaints that date and time have to be set again after removing
the battery for a short period of time and RTC-battery is properly in its place,
it is possible that spring contacts does not work in exactly right way. In this
cases please follow the procedure described on page 2 and 3, also when
replacing RTC-battery with a new one.

Plus (short) Spring Bending


Using tweezers take a grip of
short spring.

During all following operations
(also Minus spring bending)
use your thump to push backup
battery cell toward the keymat
to prevent it get loose.




Bend spring upwards.

Make sure bending will
happen at the area which
has the original bending.




Angle between bent spring and
keymat backside is approximately
45 degrees.

Minus (long) Spring Bending


Take a grip of long spring
with tweezers.
Parallel to keymat side pull
spring toward the backup
battery cell.

While pulling use linear motion.

Supporting tweezers to keymat
and using rolling motion is
forbidden!




As a end result long spring
contact point will be at the
same line (normal to keymat
centerline) as previously bent
short spring (A).

Contact point shall be
at the same height from
keymat backside as the short
spring contact point (B).
