NEW SERVICE SOFTWARE VERSION 2.71

New service software version 2.71 has been released for NSE-1/3, NSK-1/3,
NSB-1/3, NSM-1/2/3, NSE-6 products.

Note: You cannot use DLL version 2.71 before WinTesla version 6.10 or
later is installed.

This release of the WinTesla DLL is Y2K compliant.

Changes made from version 2.61 to version 2.71:

- NSM-3 support added
- Pop-up menu is removed from RX tuning dialog and tuning order is
changed (only NSM-2/3)
- AM suppression shows RSSI value in dBm with one digit precision (only
NSM-2/3)
- Manual tunings are no longer available for NSM-2/3
- VAS settings and OTA data can be saved during flashing (NSM-2/3)
- Contrast tuning test is removed and contrast information bits are not
shown (NSE-6, NSM-2/3)
- TX-power target levels are changed for NSM-2/3
- Side Channel tuning is improved for NSM-1
- Fixed menu changing bug, when F5 (Product/Initialize/Normal Mode) is
selected
- Flashing support for FLS-1/2 improved
- Reliability in restoring User Settings (SCM, User Settings and calendar
notes) improved
- Factory settings can only be saved in local mode
- ROM-6 support added
- New charge current limits for NSB-1/3 and NSK-1/3 products added
- Faultlog dates (manufacture, repair and issue) are shown in format
MMYYYY instead of previous WWYYYY, where MM=month, WW=week
and YYYY=year
- AM suppression tuning channel can be defined in TESLA.INI. If AM
suppression specific entry is not found, same defaults are used than for
other RX tunings. To change AM suppression default channels for NSM-3
to 59 (GSM) and 659 (PCN), add to TESLA.INI

APPENDIX I

FPS-4 Device list update:

DEV_A111.EXE (self-extracting file, code 0774228) contains flash device list.

Copy FPS-4 Flash Prommer SW release v 2.22 and Flash Device support
package v 1.11 to "C:\temp" directory on your PC hard disk and follow the
instructions below:

- Start your computer in DOS-mode
- Go to "C:\temp" directory where you have copied fps4_222.exe
- Type "fps4_222" to run fps4_222.exe and extract FPS-4 files
- Type "setup C:\flash" to run FPS-4 SW update
- Answer questions according to your HW connections
- Wait for the prommer SW files to be updated
- Copy dev_a111.exe from "C:\temp" to "C:\flash\device" -directory
- Go to "C:\flash\device" -directory
- Type "dev_a111" to run dev_a111.exe
- Answer "YES" to all questions to overwrite old files
- Go to directory where you have the FPS-4 SW files (C:\flash)
- Type "setup" to run FPS-4 SW setup once more
- After setup has finished, restart your computer
