According to the information in the Service manual and the Service training material, the Optical lock lever has
to be unlocked when fitting the Upper left cover, since this lever is in the locked state from the Factory. Please
note that the Optical lock lever should be in the unlocked state when fitting the Rear cover.
The Optical lock lever may be pushed inside (Locked state) by a rib on the Rear cover when fitting this cover. In
this case the Optical/Scan system can not move toward the left side, when attempting to make a copy with the DP.
Under this condition, the following phenomena may occur:
1. Abnormal image.
2. Blank copy.
3. Background on the image.

The rib may push the Optical lock lever (Locked state)
