Model: AVR-4310CI

Subject: Correction of the Firmware via DPMS (Denon Product Management
Server).
Countermeasure is applicable only upon claim from the customer.

Symptom: 1) Some customers that have purchased the AVR-4310CI get an
indication of an available firmware update. When they try to do the update, the
update fails.
2) The message corresponding to an unpaid account of Napster is not displayed.
3) When connected to Napster streaming service, we can log in and browse
content without issue. Once song/track or Napster radio stream is selected, it
takes over 10 minutes for song to start playing.
4) Media Server or Internet Radio is memorized in the preset memory. Even if
the button of "1 ~ 8" is pushed, the one memorized in the preset is not called.
5) After setting "PC Language", "Character" and "Friendly" Name, the unit might
freeze it.
6) The noise occurs from the speaker when HDMI is not connected, and the
HDMI AUDIO OUT setting inputs "DTS96/24" signal to "COAX" in the state of TV.
7) In the setting of "Front Height" or "Dolby PLIIz", when Audio is set at the same
time by "Dolby True HD 192kHz" or "DTS-HD 192kHz", the audio signal doesn't
output.
8) When "Vertical Stretch" is turned on, the improvement cannot be correctly
scaled to 1080p/24Hz.

Solution: We corrected the firmware so that no malfunction occurs.
MODIFICATION: Please explain the following method of "Initialize" to any
customers with defective units. The defective units will be recovered the firmware
by itself. After initializing the units, please update the firmware via DPMS.
