Subject: Correction of the firmware.
Countermeasure is applicable only upon claim from the customer.
Symptom: The movie "Alien" Disc 1 from the boxed set "Quadrilogy", customer
reported that the English 5.1 DTS track does not send audio to the receiver and
pictures pauses intermittently when played in the BD players. All players have
latest firmware. 5.1 Dolby Digital track plays fine.
Solution: We corrected the firmware so that no malfunction occurs.
METHOD OF UPDATE via DPMS (D&M Product Management Server)
Note: At the time this bulletin was released, we have not yet uploaded the new
firmware into the DPMS web server. We will update the firmware via DPMS once
every two months. If the update is needed and not yet loaded on the DPMS
server please use the CD-R update method.
METHOD OF UPDATE by CD-R with firmware. We will supply the following
program files for updating the subject models. Therefore, please record a
program file on a blank CD-R, and update the unit upon claim.

Note - Upon recording the Disc:
1) When recording the supplied file on the blank CD-R, the format shall be
"CLOSE".
2) When recording the supplied file on the disc, please use the lowest recording
speed that is available on your PC. If the file is recorded at a higher speed, the
rewriting operation may fail due to improperly recorded data on the disc.
Burning procedure of the firmware
(1) Download the "DBP2010CIE3_DZ10-057_E5KA0UD1012DA1.zip" firmware
in SDI.
(2) Unzip the firmware in your PC.
(3) Please insert the "E5KA0UD1012DA1.b20" firmware into the Root directory.

(4) Please burn the CD-R.
(5) Remove the CD-R from your PC.
Updating and confirming procedures of the firmware. Please refer to the Service
Manual.

Please apply the above modification to the models in the following serial
numbers.
