Subject: Correction of the firmware of DPMS (Denon Product Management
Server).
Countermeasure is applicable only upon claim from the customer.

Symptom: Additional function:
1) Addition of "BD Profile2.0 (BD Live)" function.

Improved functions:
2) Movement of the unit is slow in RS232C control with AMX, Crestron.
3) The synchronization of the picture of the wallpaper is disturbed when pushing
the SOURCE button without SD card.
4) When STOP the unit during playback a CD, different content is displayed for
an instant on a FL-display.
5) When STOP playback of CD, there is the case that "Total track number" and
"Total time" are not displayed on a FL display.
6) The unit can not be updated the firmware via DPMS with Proxy server.
7) Disc layer can not be change in RS232C control with AMX.
8) When the disc where the record is unstable is inserted, the customer might not
be able to take out the disc.

Solution: COUNTERMEASURE:
1) Additional function: When the customer needs the Instruction manual for BD
live, please download the "Attached Instruction sheet for BD Live function" in
SDI, and send to the customer.

2) Improved function: We corrected the firmware so that no malfunction occurs.

Please do not use Proxy for updating in the Network environment! If customer
uses setting of Proxy, the unit doesn't update the firmware properly

Caution: It is necessary to initialize the unit before the update work begins. The
customer has to initialize their BD/DVD Player. Please update the firmware after
you confirm this matter to the customer beforehand.

Updating the firmware (Refer to the Instruction Manual.)
1) Turn the Power Supply of the unit off.
2) Connect the Ethernet terminal of the unit to the Network line by Ethernet
straight cable. (Don't use Ethernet cross cable.)
3) The connection of the network recommends the Ethernet cable for certain
update.
4) Turn the Power Supply of the unit on.
5) Remove the Disc from the Tray.
6) Please confirm! "NO DISC" on the FL Display.
7) The unit sets the Internet. It wishes waiting for about two minutes until
customer's router ends the setting.

Caution: The update doesn't succeed when the customer's set cannot connect to
the Internet correctly. In this case, please confirm the internet environment in the
customer's house. Whether the set is able to receive Internet radio correctly or
not can be used to determine whether the Internet is properly connected. There
are some problems under the internet environment when the Internet radio can
not be received.

8) Press "SETUP" button on the Remote control and indicates the GUI menu.
9) Press "CURSOR" button.

10) The GUI indicates, "Other Setup" > "Firmware Update".

11) Select the "Start" on GUI.




12) Press the "ENTER" button.
13) The firmware will start updating.

Caution: when the firmware update starts correctly, the GUI and the audio
signal, etc. everything stops, and becomes the update operation.

14) When updating starts, the power indicator lights red.
15) The GUI display disappears, and becomes only FL display.
16) During update, a rough remaining time is indicated on the display. When
updating is complete the power indicator lights green and normal status is
resumed.




17) During the updating, the FL Display indicates the procedure of update the
firmware.
Time necessary for update: approximately 30 min.

Caution: The update time might change depending on the situation of the DPMS
server and the speed of the Internet environment of the customer house.

18) The unit initializes automatically.

Confirmation of the version:
1) Press the "OPEN/CLOSE" button and open the Disc Tray.
2) Remove the Disc from the Tray.
3) Please confirm! "NO DISC" on the FL Display.
4) While pushing the "PLAY" and "OPEN/CLOSE" button, turn on the power of
unit.
5) The indication of "PLAY" and "PAUSE" will be displayed on FL Display.
6) Please confirm! "NO DISC" on the FL Display, and wait 10 seconds.
7) Press the buttons on the remote control in the order of "3", "2", "6" and "5".
8) The version of the firmware will be indicated on the FL Display.
9) Push the "UP" button of cursor button, version of the each firmware will be
indicated on the FL Display.




Cautions during the rewriting operation:
1) Please do not turn off the Power of the unit during the rewriting operation.
2) If the Display isn't turning into the following version of the firmware during the
rewriting operation, wait longer than 10 minutes after closing the Disc Tray.
Then, turn off the Power of the unit and start the rewriting operation from the
beginning again.

Troubleshooting: If the display reads as shown below, check the settings and
network environment, then update again. The problem is not in the Internet
connection if the Internet radio can be able to be received correctly.

Caution during the updating operation:
1) Please do not turn off the setting of "DHCP" when you update the unit.
(Initialization is turning on.) Please execute it under the guidance of the IT staff
with computer skills when the setting of "DHCP" is unavoidably turned off by
limiting the electronic environment, and you set IP Address, the subnet mask, the
default gateway, and DNS, etc. for myself. When it makes a mistake in the
setting with "DHCP" turned off, the unit might not operate, and the unit be
damaged in the worst situation. Please do not touch the setting of "DHCP"
except in special circumstances.
2) When the customer use "Netgear router 614 Series" for updating, "uPnP"
have to deactivate in the router.
3) Do not turn off the Power of the unit during the updating operation.
4) If the Display has kept indicating fixed during the updating operation, wait
longer than total updating time. Then, turn off the Power of the unit and start the
updating operation from the beginning again.
5) The unit doesn't break down while updating it when the power supply of the
unit is turned off or the cable of the Internet is pulled out.
6) Please execute initialization when it is not improved. Still, please repair by
service when it is not improved.
