Service Manual
PRODUCT INFORMATION Power consumption motor Voltage Length of mains cord Freezing time of cooling disc Weight of product Dimensions product l x w x h Type no. cooling disc Speeds : : : : : : : : 30 W 220/230 V, 50-60 Hz 140 cm 18 hrs 3.4 kg 23 x 25 x 27 (cm) HR 2968 2 Ice-cream selector switch When the "soft ice" switch is pressed, the stirrer will start rotating at a relatively high speed (approx. 70 rpm, gradually decreasing to approx. 50 rpm., depending upon the mixture). After approx. 20 minutes, the green pilote light will start to blink. Up to 10 minutes after switching on, you can switch from making "Compact ice" to making "Soft ice" (or the other way round). If "Soft ice" has been selected and the ice-cream maker is not been switched off after 30 minutes, the appliance will reduce stirrer speed to keep the "Soft ice" longer in optimum condition. When the "Compact ice" switch is pressed, the stirrer will start rotating at a relatively low speed (approx. 21 rpm). After approx. 40 minutes, the green pilot light will start to blink. The blinking pilot light means that the minimum processing time for a standard quantity of the selected type of ice cream has elapsed. SERVICE INFORMATION - Gas pressure may cause the cooling disc to bulge out so that it is impossible to assemble it into the appliance. If this has happened proceed as follows: 1. Remove plug (item 16) which is fixed with snap tabs. 2. Bring the cooling disc back into its original flat shape and, while doing so, insert a new plug (item 16). - Use grease 4822 390 20004 on the metal gearwheel shafts in the gearbox. - Motor control without de-soldering (see wiring diagram): Resistance must be between 1-2 = 440 ± 50 ohm and between 3-4. - If a repair has been executed, make sure that all functions of the appliance are working correctly. Cooling disc/container is to be kept in a 3 or 4-star freezer or freezing compartment of the refrigerator. The stirrer should actually be functioning when the bowl is being filled otherwise the ingredients will immediately freeze onto the cooling disc. Safety shut-off The ice-cream maker is equipped with a safety shut-off. This device automatically switches off the appliance after 120 minutes of operation, or if overloading occurs. Cooling down time: approx. 55 min.
