Power consumption

Soleplate temperature with dial at max. position : 215 ± 25 °C

Self-clean function : The self-clean function is operated by the steam dial. When this dial is turned to the correct position, a sudden flow of cold water is released from the tank into the heated soleplate. This thermal shock will cause scale particles to break loose from the steam chamber. These particles are then flushed out through the steam vents by the water.

This product meets the requirements regarding interference suppression on radio and TV.

ADJUSTMENT AND CONTROLS Thermostat 20 Thermostat 20, fitted to the sole plate 21 has already been adjusted by the supplier and secured by glue. To avoid malfunction of the iron, NEVER readjust the thermostat. Adjustment Thermostat 20, supplied as a spare part. Connect the connecting strips to an Ohm meter. Set the thermostat stopper to the position as indicated in fig. 1. Turn the adjusting screw ( R ) clockwise or anti-clockwise until the Ohm meter indicates " 0 ". ( the contacts are closed ). Then turn the adjusting screw clockwise until the Ohm meter indicates and the contacts have only just been opened. You hear a " click ". While loosely turning the thermostat stopper, check if the thermostat switches in the position as indicated in fig. 1. Secure the adjusting screw by glue. After adjusting the thermostat, always check the temperature of the soleplate, with the dial set to MAX. pos. ( 215 ± 25 °C ). For location of the test point, see fig. 2. The temperature must be measured, after the iron has been connected to the mains for at least 15 min. The max. temperature shall not be higher than 240 °C.
