Model Cross Reference (External Use)

There are 3 platforms supported: Desktop PC, Palm Pilot, and CE (PocketPC).

Please note:

1. The new applications use 2 main files: the application itself and a database file.

2. If you have a shortcut to the old application xref_e.exe, delete it.

3. Blackberry devices are NOT supported.

Instructions for Desktop PC Installation:

The self-extracting "xref_e.exe" program will install 3 files to c:\my documents
folder ("xref.exe" application, "xrefDB_E.dat" database file, and this ReadMe file).
Create a shortcut to "Xref.exe" and launch as normal.

To determine the version number of your database file: Launch the application. Click the
"DB Version" button on the main screen of the application.

Instructions for Palm Pilot Installation:

The self-extracting "xref_epp.exe" program will install 3 files to c:\my documents folder
("xref.prc" application, "xrefDB_E.pdb" database file, and this ReadMe file).
HotSync the application and database files to the Palm device. An icon labeled "Xref" is
created. Launch as normal.

To determine the version number of your database file: Launch the application. From the
main screen, tap the "MENU" button and then tap "DB Version" under "File".

Instructions for CE (PocketPC) Installation:

The self-extracting "xref_ece.exe" program will install 5 files to c:\my documents folder
( "xref.nsb" application, "xrefDB_E.dat" database file, "runtime.ppc.exe" runtime
installer, "ricoh2.bmp" bitmap file, and this ReadMe file). You will need Microsoft
ActiveSync to install the files to the device. Launch "Runtime.PPC.EXE" from the PC and
follow the instructions. This will install a "NSB Runtime Module" necessary to launch the
application. You should only have to install this once unless noted otherwise. ActiveSync
"Xref.NSB", "XrefDB_E.DAT", and "Ricoh2.BMP" to the device's "My Documents" folder.
The application "XREF" will be available from File Explorer. Launch as normal.

To determine the version number of your database file: Launch the application. From the
main screen, tap "File" then "DB Version".
