SECTION 3
DISASSEMBLY
3.1 DISASSEMBLY PROCEDURE
3.1.1 REMOVING THE REAR COVER 3.1.7 CHECKING THE CHASSIS
(1) Disconnect the power plug. To check the PW Board from back side.
(2) Remove the 11 screws [A]. (1) Pull out the CHASSIS (refer to REMOVING THE CHASSIS).
(3) Withdraw the REAR COVER backward. (2) Erect the CHASSIS vertically with the HVT side facing up
so that you can easily check the back side of the PW board.

3.1.2 REMOVING THE AV TERMINAL BOARD · When erecting the CHASSIS, be careful so that there will be

3.1.4 REMOVING THE SPEAKER
· Remove the REAR COVER.
(1) Remove the 2 screws [C].
(2) Remove the 2 screws [D] and remove the SPEAKER.
(3) Follow the same steps when removing the other hand
SPEAKER.
NOTE :
When remove the 2 screws [C] of the SPEAKER, remove the
lower side screw first, and then remove the upper one.


3.1.5 REMOVING THE LED & POWER SW PWB
· Remove the REAR COVER.
(1) Remove the 2 screws [E].
(2) Withdraw the LED & POWER SW PWB toward you.
*If necessary, remove the wire clamp, connector etc.


3.1.6 REMOVING THE FRONT CONTROL PWB
· Remove the REAR COVER.
(1) Remove the 2 screws [F].
(2) Withdraw the FRONT CONTROL PWB toward you.
*If necessary, remove the wire clamp, connector etc.

3.3 REPLACEMENT OF CHIP COMPONENT
3.3.1 CAUTIONS
(1) Avoid heating for more than 3 seconds.
(2) Do not rub the electrodes and the resist parts of the pattern.
(3) When removing a chip part, melt the solder adequately.
(4) Do not reuse a chip part after removing it.

3.3.2 SOLDERING IRON
(1) Use a high insulation soldering iron with a thin pointed end of it.
(2) A 30w soldering iron is recommended for easily removing parts.

3.3.3 REPLACEMENT STEPS

4.6.1 TOOL OF SERVICE MODE OPERATION
Operate the SERVICE MODE with the REMOTE CONTROL UNIT.

4.6.2 SERVICE MODE ITEMS
In general, basic setting (adjustments) items or verifications are performed in the SERVICE MODE.
1. V/C (S) This sets the setting values of the VIDEO circuit.
2. DEF (D) This sets the setting values of the DEFLECTION circuit.
3. SOUND (A) This sets the setting values of the AUDIO circuit.
4. OTHERS (F) This sets the setting values of the factory settings. [Do not adjust]
6. 3L Y/C(LYC) This sets the setting values of the 3 line YC separation control circuit. [Do not adjust]
7. LOW LIGHT This sets the setting values of the WHITE BALANCE (LOW LIGHT) control circuit.
8. HIGH LIGHT This sets the setting values of the WHITE BALANCE (HIGH LIGHT) control circuit.
9. VCO This sets the setting values of the VCO control circuit.
11. I2C BUS This sets the setting values of the I2C BUS control circuit. [Do not adjust]
12. SYSTEM(SYS) This sets the setting values of the system control circuit. [Do not adjust]

4.6.3 HOW TO ENTER THE SERVICE MODE
(1) Set to 0 minutes using the [SLEEP TIMER] key.
