If this is not the case after a few seconds, the signal strength is poor or there are signal-interferences. You should then reposition the connected aerial, for example in a horizontal position at right angles to the receiver, further away from the receiver and away from metallic objects or switched-on TV receivers. To help you, the display is provided with 6 segments below the day and date indication. Try to obtain a maximum number or these segments being visible. If the signal strength is sufficient, the '00' indication stops flashing and the seconds are count up to 60. If a correct time telegram has been received, this will be indicated by the radio tower symbol at the right of the display. The clock is now running exactly to the second. Synchronization through DCF77 takes place permanently. The radio tower symbol is switched off if no synchronization was possible for more than 1 minute. Nevertheless, the clock continues running being controlled by the built-in quartz.

Operatin Instructions
Setting the time zone The time signal transmitter DCF 77 transmits the time valid in middle-europe, or the Daylight Saving Time of middle-europe. When using your SONOCLOCK 910 in another time zone or to indicate a local time in another time zone, you can set the respective time difference as follows: · Press and hold first the SNOOZE button and press then also the SLEEP button longer as 5 seconds. The date indication disappears and e.g. the indication TI -4 appears in the bottom part of the display. The indication `TI' indicates Time Zone and the figure indicates the T1 -4 time difference in hours between the displayed time and the time received from DCF 77 (middle-europe). For normal use in middle-europa (and after putting the set in operation for the first time) the time difference is installed at 0: · After entering the time zone adjustment mode, you can now install T1 0 the time zone (from -9 to +9 hours) with the +/- buttons. The actual time indicated in the upper part of the display changes respectively and indicates the selected local time. A manually set time will not be changed. · If you wish to indicate e.g. the local time in the U.K. (one hour earlier), you have to install the time zone at -1 (hour). At a received time (from DCF 77) of e.g. 17.45, SONOCLOCK 910 will now show 16.45, being the local time in the U.K.. · Please note that when the time indication seems to be wrong, the time zone may have been changed accidentally. Manual time setting (if no time signal is received) 1.Hold down the AL. MODE button for approx. 5 seconds. This selects the time adjustment mode and the display will flash for 10 seconds max. If you make no entry within these 10 seconds, the adjustment mode is aborted. Serial output
