Service Information 5615 Remove batteries. Unscrew the 3 housing screws (19). By means of a grip ring pliers inserted into the battery box, press apart the housing shelves (3) and (20), one after the other (see exploded drawing "A"). Attention: When opening the housing shelves, the spring catches (17) will snap out. Before extracting the motor, the slider (2) must be switched in the 'on' position. Snap out the motor from the direction of the eccenter and remove it together with the minus contact. Attention: When extracting the motor please take care that the spring wire (15) does not get lost. (Mostly the wire sticks to the motor through the magnetic effect.) All further dismantling steps do not require further explanation.

Reassembly

The reassembly is made in reversed order. Attention must be paid to the following:

Battery contacts (13, 14):

Before inserting the plus contact (14) into the housing upper part (3), please absolutely make sure that the slider (2) is adjusted in the 'on' position. When inserting the battery contacts, care must be taken that the holes of the metal straps match exactly with the corresponding pins in the housing upper part (3). Insert the spring wire (15) before reassembling the motor (16, see drawing). Motor axis to be lubricated with a small amount of Vaseline underneath the eccenter. Reassemble the motor paying attention to the correct position of the poles. When inserting the motor into the housing upper part (3), the plus pole (soldered motor contact) must point upward. The minus pole must grip exactly into the contact spring "B" of the battery's minus contact (14). 5615 - 5

Oscillating frame (12):

To be inserted into the housing lower part (20) in a way that the support for the long hair trimmer is pointing upward. The motor axis must be turned in a way that the eccentric stud is positioned in the center (flat part horizontally upward). Connect the housing halves in the shaving head area, paying attention to the fact that the eccentric stud must grip exactly into the long hole of the oscillating frame. After hanging in the battery cover, the housing halves are finally to be pressed together. Place the conical coil spring (11) on the oscillating frame (12). Then, pull the cutter block support (10) with the sealing over the housing bulge. To snap into the lateral pockets after the housing is reassembled, the snap-in pins pointing to the bottom of the appliance.
