Subject: Popping Noise in Rear Channel Symptom: (54)

Date: March 20, 1995

When in Dolby Pro-Logic mode a popping noise is randomly heard in the rear channel.

Solution:

Add a 10uf 50V electrolytic capacitor (part number 1-126-059-11) to IC330, the Amp Level Control IC. IC330 is located on the Dolby Board. Solder the capacitor across pin 3 (negative side of capacitor) to pin 6 (ground). See diagram below.
