s DISASSEMBLY PROCEDURES
(Remove parts in the order as numbered.)

q For exchanging the driver unit
1. Removal of Front Grille
The front grille is fixed to the cabinet with dowels at 4 locations.
As a screwdriver (for slotted head screw) is used for removal, use
special care not to cause damage to the cabinet.
a. Apply the block to the rear panel so as to avoid damage to the
Terminal of the rear panel.
b. Use the screwdriver inserted in the gap between the front grille
Fig. 1
and the cabinet (bottom side first), push up the front grille. (Fig. 1)
c. Remove the front grille by lifting it up. (Fig. 1)

2. Removal of Driver unit
a. Remove 4 screws (1) in Fig. 2, and remove the Driver unit.
b. Remove the cable cord.

q For repairing P.C.B.
Repairing P.C.B. is possible without removing front grille.
1. Removal of Front Panel Ass'y
Remove 2 screws (2) and then remove the Front Panel Ass'y in
Fig. 3.
* Use an Allen wrench (3 mm) to unscrew the Front Panel Ass'y. 1 Fig. 2
2. Removal of Rear Panel
Remove 12 screws (3) in Fig. 4, and remove the rear panel. At
Front Panel Ass'y
this time, disconnect the connector CB3 of MAIN P.C.B. (1). Main P.C.B. (4)
* When removing the rear panel, replace the packing.

3. P.C.B. Operation Check
a. Disconnect the connector CB9 of MAIN P.C.B. (4). 2
b. Connect the connector CB3 of MAIN P.C.B. (1) and CB9 of MAIN
P.C.B. (4) by using an extension flexible flat cable. (Fig. 4) 2 Fig. 3
Extension flexible flat cable : V7113100 (9P, 450 mm)
3
q Installation of power switch Extension flexible flat cable 3
Rapid cures bond (such as 5 minutes epoxy) is required to fix the
power switch. 3
As shown in Fig. 5, apply rapid cures bond (such as 5 minutes
epoxy) to the power switch (the area which contacts the rear CB9 CB3
panel), insert it in the rear panel and make sure it is fixed.
(Inserting the power switch in the rear panel only would not be 3
sufficient for its secure installation.)

q Precaution for installation of power cord
After connecting the power cord, be sure to apply the rapid cures
bond (such as 5 minutes epoxy) to the cord stopper as shown in
Fig. 6.
