the LCD and Monitor are known-good.

6.2 VGA controller failure
Symptom: There is no display or distortion on both LCD and Monitor although
Power-On-Self-Test is passed

Try reinstall VGA driver in Windows XP

6.3 LCD no display or Invalid Picture
Symptom: The LCD shows nothing or abnormal picture, but it is ok for external
monitor.

Try another known good LCD module

6.4 External monitor has no display or color abnormal
Symptom: The CRT monitor shows nothing or abnormal color, but it is ok for LCD

6.6 Keyboard test error (including external K/B & PS/2 mouse)
Symptom: error message of keyboard failure is shown or any key doesn't work

6.7 Touch Pad test error
Symptom: An error message is shown when the Touch Pad point is enabled

1. Check Touch pad device in Windows XP if it is properly
Installed (including driver)
2. Check cable connected properly




Try another known good touch pad module and cable

6.8 Memory Card Bus failure
Symptom: When insert Memory Stick can't detect Device with removable storage.

1.Check Memory Card Bus Device in Windows XP if it is properly
installed(including driver)
2.Try Reinsert Memory Stick

6.9 Hard disk drive test error
Symptom: Either an error message is shown, or the drive motor spins non-stop,
while reading data from or writing data to Hard disk

6.10 CMOS test error
1. CMOS data lost, or inaccurate system time & data

1. Plug in AC adapter, power on the system and set correct data in BIOS setup
2. Replace CMOS Battery
3. Turn off power for 1 hour then turn on again

6.11 IEEE 1394 Failure
Symptom: When backup HDD using IEEE 1394 can't detect the device..

installed (including driver)
2. Try another backup HDD using IEEE 1394 device

Symptom: No sound from speaker after audio drive is installed.
