FM 75 ANTENNA PRE-OUT VIDEO REAR SPEAKERS CENTER SPEAKER
BEDIENELEMENTE
OUT/IN Trennstelle (PRE-/MAIN-AMPLIFIER) Die Verbindung zwischen Pre-Amplifier (Vorverstärker) und Main-Amplifier (End-Verstärker) ist an einer Trennstelle herausgeführt. Die beiden Metallbrücken lassen sich abziehen. Jetzt können Sie den CinchAusgang (PRE-AMP) OUT verwenden, um AktivBoxen anzusteuern. Wollen Sie das Signal durch ein anderes Gerät durchschleifen, z.B. durch einen Equalizer, schließen Sie diesen an zwischen (PREAMP) OUT und (MAIN-AMP) IN an. Wechselspannungs-Ausgänge (AC OUTLETS) Sie können bis zu zwei weitere Geräte über den Receiver einschalten. Verbinden Sie dazu die Netzkabel der anderen Geräte mit den Wechselspannungs-Ausgängen des Receivers. Diese Ausgangsbuchsen sind ursprünglich dafür vorgesehen, einen CD-Spieler und ein Cassettendeck anzuschließen, es können aber auch andere Geräte an Ihre Stereoanlage angeschlossen werden. · Werden andere Geräte hier angeschlossen, achten Sie bitte darauf, daß die Gesamtleistung 100 W nicht überschreitet, anderenfalls können Schäden auftreten. · Schließen Sie keinen Fernsehempfänger an die AC-Netzanschlüsse. · Der Netzschalter des Receivers kann als Hauptschalter für die angeschlossenen Geräte dienen. Achten Sie darauf, daß die so angeschlossenen Geräte eingeschaltet sind.

SURROUND Zur Wahl der Betriebsart SURROUND oder STEREO. Falls Sie die Betriebsart SURROUND wählen, können Sie die verschiedenen Surround-Betriebsarten wählen, indem Sie (innerhalb 2 Sekunden) die Tasten # $ (TUNING oder STATION) drücken: DOLBY PRO LOGIC, DOLBY 3 STEREO, DISCO, HALL und LIVE Drücken Sie diese Taste längere Zeit, um den Surround Install-Modus aufzurufen. Hier befinden sich unterschiedliche Surroundeinstellungen, die dann mit den Tasten # $ (TUNING oder STATION) eingestellt werden können: NORMAL/WIDE/PHANTOM: Mit # $ (TUNING oder STATION) kann die Betriebsart für den mittlere Kanal gewählt werden DELAY: Mit # $ (TUNING oder STATION) kann die Verzögerungszeit des hinteren Kanals eingestellt werden. TEST:Sie hören nacheinander immer wieder einen Testton von dem linken > dem mittleren (kann mit # $ (TUNING oder STATION) eingestellt werden) > dem rechten > und den hinteren Lautsprechern (kann mit # $ (TUNING oder STATION) eingestellt werden).

MONO Mit dieser Taste schalten Sie auf MONO-Empfang um, wenn z.B. der Stereo-Empfang durch Rauschen gestört ist. Diese Taste speichert einen eingestellten Sender. Längeres Drücken startet die Funktion AUTO STORE. Mit dieser Taste schalten Sie die Anzeige zwischen Sendernamen (RDS), RADIOTEXT, RDS-Zeit und Sender-Frequenz um. Mit diesen Tasten schalten Sie die Speicherplätze in aufsteigender (#) oder absteigender ($) Reihenfolge durch. Hiermit beeinflussen Sie (in Kombination mit dem VOLUME-Regler) die Verteilung des Klanges zwischen linkem und rechtem Kanal. Hiermit beeinflussen Sie den unteren Frequenzbereich. Hiermit beeinflussen Sie den oberen Frequenzbereich.

Schalten Sie vor dem Anschließen der Signalquellen alle beteiligten Geräte aus. Achten Sie auf den richtigen Anschluß der Stereo-Kanäle: R: rechts (rot) und L: links (weiß). AUDIO Programmquellen VIDEO Programmquellen PHONO Schließen Sie Ihren Analog-Plattenspieler CD Schließen Sie den Videoausgang an die Buchsen PHONO an. Ist Ihr eines CD-Spielers (Laser Disc) an die Buchsen CD an. Plattenspieler mit einem getrennten Massekabel ausgestattet, klemmen Sie TV/VID.2 Schließen Sie den Videoausgang eines dieses an die Masseschraube e an. Fernsehgerätes an die Buchsen TV an. CD Schließen Sie Ihren CD-Spieler an die VCR/VID.1 Schließen Sie den Videoeingang eines Buchsen CD an. Videorecorders an die Buchse VCR/VID1 OUT an. Schließen Sie den TAPE Verbinden Sie die LINE IN-Buchsen Ihres Cassetten-Decks, TonbandgeVideoausgang eines Videorecorders an die Buchse VCR/VID1 IN an. rätes oder digitalen Aufnahmegerätes mit den Buchsen TAPE OUT. VOLUME Mit diesem Einsteller passen Sie die Lautstärke Ihren Wünschen an. A· ·B Zum Ein- und Ausschalten eines SPEAKERS Lautsprecherpaares, das an die SPEAKERS A- und/oder SPEAKERS B-Klemmen angeschlossen wurde. LOUDNESS Mit diesem Schalter können Sie die Wiedergabe bei geringen Lautstärken dem Hörempfinden des menschlichen Ohres anpassen. HEADPHONES Hier können Sie einen Stereokopfhörer mit 6,3 mm-Klinkenstecker anschließen. Die Lautstärke stellen Sie mit dem Drehknopf VOLUME ein. TUNING Mit diesen Tasten starten Sie den # $ Sendersuchlauf oder schalten die Frequenz in die gewünschte Richtung Schritt für Schritt weiter. PTY Zur Auswahl des Programmartmodus.

EINSTELLUNG DER SURROUND PARAMETER
Einstellung der Surround Parameter
Für die Betriebsart SURROUND wurden für normalen Betrieb passende Werte für MitteBetrieb, mittlere und hintere Pegel sowie für die Verzögerung der hinteren Kanäle programmiert. Sie können jedoch diese Einstellungen Ihrem persönlichen Geschmack oder der Lautsprecherinstallation anpassen. Um Ihre Surroundanlage zu installieren, verfahren Sie wie folgt: · Wählen Sie die Betriebsart Dolby Pro Logic. · Drücken Sie die Taste SURROUND länger als 2 Sekunden. Das Display zeigt z.B. `NORMAL'. · Mit den Tasten # $ (TUNING oder STATION) kann die Betriebsart für den mittleren Kanal gewählt werden: NORMAL, WIDE oder PHANTOM. Selektieren Sie NORMAL, wenn Sie einen Einweg Center-Lautsprecher verwenden. Selektieren Sie WIDE, wenn Sie einen guten HiFi Center-Lautsprecher verwenden. Selektieren Sie PHANTOM, wenn Sie keinen Center-Lautsprecher verwenden, aber den gefühlsmäßigen Eindruck eines CenterLautsprechers haben wollen.

TEST FL ¬ TEST C ¬ TEST FR ¬ TEST R ¬ TEST FL · Die Lautstärke des mittleren und der hinderen Lautsprecher können Sie einstellen, indem Sie während der Zeit des Testtons: TEST C, TEST R die Tasten # $ (TUNING oder STATION) drücken. · Wenn die Pegel richtig eingestellt sind, drücken Sie die Taste SURROUND erneut, um den Testton auszuschalten und den Installationsmodus zu verlassen. Hinweis: Haben Sie PHANTOM für den Centerkanalmodus ausgewählt, ist die Testtonreihenfolge wie folgt: TEST FL ¬ TEST FR ¬ TEST R ¬ TEST FL

Automatische Sendersuche
Direkte Anpassung der hinteren und mittleren Pegel
Während z. B. eines Filmes kann es vorkommen, daß spezielle Geräuscheffekte der hinteren Lautsprecher zu laut oder zu leise sind, verglichen mit den Dialogen. In diesem Fall müssen die Einstellungen angepaßt werden. Ihre Fernbedienung ist aus diesem Grund mit zwei Funktionen der direkten Anpassung ausgestattet: Einstellung des hinteren Pegels · Drücken Sie die Taste REAR. Das Display zeigt z.B. REAR 0. · Mit den Tasten CENTRE + und REAR kann (innerhalb von 2 Sekunden) der hintere Pegel eingestellt werden (in Bezug auf den vorderen Pegel). Einstellung des mittleren Pegels · Drücken Sie die Taste CENTRE +. Das Display zeigt z.B. CTR 0. · Mit den Tasten CENTRE + und REAR kann (innerhalb von 2 Sekunden) der mittlere Pegel eingestellt werden (in Bezug auf den vorderen Pegel).
Ihr Gerät ist ein RDS-Gerät. Ihr Gerät ist in der Lage, RDS-Informationen, die mit dem Sendersignal ausgestrahlt werden, zu empfangen und auszuwerten. RDS beschert dem Hörer/Benutzer zunächst mehr Komfort und bietet extra nutzvolle Information. Sie können auch andere RDS-Informationen, wie RDS-Zeit und Radiotext aufrufen (Taste INFO, siehe Seite 13). RDS Radio Data System: Haben Sie einen RDSSender eingestellt, wird nach kurzer Zeit der Sendername angezeigt. Schon vorhandene Namen werden überschrieben. RDS TIME: Einige RDS-Sender strahlen die Information 'RDS-ZEIT' aus. Die Zeitanzeige wird jede Minute aktualisiert. Die Genauigkeit der Zeit hängt von der übertragenen Information ab. Die Frequenz des empfangenen Senders wird in MHz (FM) angezeigt. Stationen mit geringer Feldstärke können vom Suchlauf übersprungen werden. Diese können mittels Handabstimmung eingestellt werden. · Sie können den Suchlauf auch unterbrechen, indem Sie wieder TUNING # oder $ drücken.

Das Display zeigt die aktuelle Frequenz · Geben Sie nun die gewünschte Frequenz der Reihe nach von links nach rechts mit den Zifferntasten 0-9 auf der Fernbedienung ein. Nachdem Sie die letzte Ziffer eingegeben haben, empfängt Ihr Gerät die neue Station. Sie haben für jeden Eingabeschritt 10 Sekunden Zeit. Connecting programme sources
Before connecting any programme sources, always switch any other connected units off. In addition, note the correct connection of the stereo channels: R: right (red) and L: left (white). AUDIO SOURCES PHONO Connect your analog record player to the PHONO sockets. If your record player is provided with a separate earth cable, connect the cable to the earthing screw e. CD Connect your CD player to the CD sockets. TAPE Connect the LINE IN sockets of your cassette deck, tape recorder or digital recorder to the sockets TAPE OUT. Connect the LINE OUT sockets of your cassette deck to the sockets TAPE IN. VCR/VID.1 Connect the LINE IN sockets of your VCR recorder to the sockets VCR/VID.1 OUT. Connect the LINE OUT sockets of your VCR recorder to the sockets VCR/VID.2 IN. TV/VID.2 Connect the sound channel of your TV to the TV/VID.2 sockets. Batteriewechsel
Läßt die Reichweite Ihres IR-Gebers nach oder lassen sich einzelne Funktionen nicht mehr ausführen, sollten Sie die Batterien auswechseln. Verwendeter Batterietyp: 2x Micro 1,5 Volt LR03, Größe AAA. Öffnen Sie zum Batteriewechsel den Deckel des Batteriefaches auf der Rückseite des Gebers. Achten Sie auf die richtige Polung der Batterien (Markierung im Batteriefach beachten). Umwelthinweis: Denken Sie beim Batteriewechsel daran: Batterien sind Sondermüll!

Automatische Programmierung

Der Suchlauf stoppt, wenn alle verfügbaren Sender gespeichert oder die Speicherplätze für 30 Vorwahlsender belegt sind. Das Gerät bleibt auf den zuletzt eingestellten Vorwahlsender abgestimmt. · Durch erneutes Drücken der Taste MEMORY oder einer andere Taste am Gerät kann die automatische Programmierung aufgehoben werden. Hinweis: Wenn Sie einige alte Vorwahlsender behalten möchten, zum Beispiel die Sender mit den Speicherplatznummern 1 - 9, wählen Sie den Speicherplatz 10, bevor Sie die automatische Programmierung starten. You can then use the (PRE-AMP) OUT cinch output to control active speakers. If you want to loop the signal through another unit, for example, an equalizer, connect the unit between (PRE-AMP) OUT and (MAIN-AMP) IN.

These AC outlets are originally intended for the connection of a CD player and cassette deck, but you can also connect other units in your system. · When other units are connected to the AC outlets, please make sure that the total sum of the power consumption of the connected units does not exceed 100 W, otherwise defects may occur. · Do not connect a TV receiver to any of the AC outlets of the units in your system. · To use this capabilitiy, ensure that the power switches of the connected units are switched to the ON position. Storing Preset Stations
You can store up to 30 stations in the memory. When a preset station is selected, the preset number appears next to the frequency on the display.
Automatic programming
· Press MEMORY for more than 1 second. MEMO flashes on the display. Every available station will be stored automatically. The frequency and preset number will be displayed briefly. It will stop searching when all the available stations are stored or the memory for 30 preset stations is used. The set will remain tuned to the last stored preset number. · You can cancel the automatic programming by pressing MEMORY again or any other key on the unit. Note: If you want to maintain some old preset numbers, for example preset number 1 - 9, select preset 10 before starting automatic programming: now only the preset numbers 10 to 30 will be programmed.

ADAPTING THE SURROUND MODE VALUES
Adapting the Surround mode values
The surround mode has programmed values for centre-mode, centre and rear levels and for rear channel time delay which are suitable for most common applications. You can , however, change these settings to your particular taste or speaker installation. To install your Surround system proceed as follows: · Select the Dolby Pro Logic mode. · Press the SURROUND key longer than 2 seconds. The display shows e.g.`NORMAL'. · Use the # $ (TUNING or STATION) buttons to select the centre channel mode: NORMAL, WIDE or PHANTOM. Select NORMAL if you are using a normal centre speaker. Select WIDE if you have connected a HiFi centre speaker Select PHANTOM if you have not connected a centre speaker, but still wish to simulate the sound coming from the centre.

Direct adjustment of rear and centre level
During e.g. a film, it is possible that the special effects on the rear speakers become too loud or too quiet compared to the level of the dialogue, making it necessary to perform small adjustments. Your remote control is, for this purpose, provided with two keys for direct adjustment: Adjusting the rear level · Press the REAR button. The display shows e.g. REAR 0. · If you press within 2 seconds the CENTRE + or REAR buttons you can adjust the rear level (related to the front level). Adjusting the centre level · Press the CENTRE + button. The display shows e.g. CTR 0. · If you press within 2 seconds the CENTRE + or REAR buttons you can adjust the centre level (related to the front level).
Your receiver is an RDS receiver. It is capable of receiving and evaluating RDS information which is broadcast along with the normal broadcast signal providing the listener with more comfort and extra usefull information. You can also call up other RDS services like RDS time and radiotext provided that this information is transmitted.(button INFO, see page 25). RDS Station name : If you are tuned to an RDS station, the name of the station will be indicated after a short time, overwriting names previously stored. RDS TIME : Some RDS stations broadcast the 'RDS-TIME' information. The time display is updated every minute. The accuracy of the time depends on the broadcasted information. RADIOTEXT : More and more RDS stations broadcast RADIOTEXT, which is additional information on the station and programme being broadcast. RADIOTEXT information appears as "running" text in the display. RADIOTEXT is transmitted character-by-character by the radio station. As a result of that it may take some time until the entire text has been completely received. PROGRAMME TYPE : Each station can broadcast a code (PTY) that characterizes the actual program. With the PTY button you can select the type of programme you wish to listen to.

After you have finished entering the last number, your unit will receive the new station. You have 10 seconds to make each entry. If this time limit is exceeded, you must enter it again.

Calling up a stored station
· When you want to call up a stored station, press STATION # or $ on the unit or on the remote control. The stations are called up in ascending or descending order.
Changing the batteries
If the range of your infrared remote control seems to decrease, or if certain individual functions can no longer be carried out, you should replace the batteries. Two micro 1.5 Volt LR03 size AAA are required. To change the batteries, open the compartment on the back of the remote control. Ensure that the batteries are inserted properly (note the markings in the compartment). In the interest of the environment: Remember that batteries must always be disposed of properly.

Deleting all stored stations
· If you wish to delete all stored stations, for example after you move to another location, press first MEMORY. MEMO flashes on the display. · Press now at the same time the buttons TUNER and MEMORY. All stored stations have now been cleared and the display shows `FREE'.

Removing the Front Cover - Remove the Volume Board (point 3). - Undo 2 screws O each (Fig. 12) on the left and right of the front cover. - Undo 4 screws P (upper side of front cover, Fig. 13) and 4 screws Q (lower side of front cover, Fig. 2). - Disengage the lugs R of the front cover (Fig. 12/13) - Remove the front cover towards the front. - If necessary, disconnect the connectors.

Meßgeräte: Meßsender, Stereocoder, Oszilloskop, Digitalvoltmeter, NF-Voltmeter, Klirrfaktormeßgerät Hinweis: Das Frontend ist ein komplett abgeglichener Baustein. Die Abstimmspannungen des Frontends haben folgende Größen: 87,5MHz = typ. 1,6V min. 1,3V 108MHz = typ. 8,3V max. 9,5V
Abgleich 1. Demodulator
Vorbereitung FM, 98MHz Meßsender 98MHz an Antennenbuchse; UHF = 1mV / 75, f = 22,5kHz. Digitalvoltmeter an Meßpunkt G (+/- CW603). FM, 98MHz Stereocoder linker Kanal moduliert an Antennenbuchse; 98MHz, f = 40kHz, ±6kHz Pilotton. Klirrfaktormeßgerät an NF-Ausgang linker Kanal. FM, 98MHz Stereocoder linker Kanal moduliert an Antennenbuchse; 98MHz, f = 40kHz, ±6kHz Pilotton. NF-Voltmeter an NF-Ausgang rechter Kanal. FM, 98MHz Stereocoder 98MHz an Antennenbuchse; UHF = 15µV / 75, f = 40kHz, ±6kHz Pilotton. FM Meßsender an Antennenbuchse; FM, fmod = 38kHz. NF-Voltmeter an den NF-Ausgang.
Abgleichprozedur Mit T601 C typ. 0V ±50mV einstellen.
2. Stereo-Klirrfaktor
Mit FE602 A Kmin (typ. 0,5%, max. 1%) einstellen. Danach rechten Kanal modulieren und rechten NF-Ausgang kontrollieren.
3. Stereo-Übersprechdämpfung
Mit VR602 D Minimum einstellen. Danach rechten Kanal modulieren und linken NF-Ausgang kontrollieren.
4. Suchlauf
Mit VR601 B die Suchlaufschwelle (typ. UHF = 15µV, max. UHF 20µV) so abgleichen, daß die Anzeige ,,TUNED" im Display noch aufleuchtet. Mit T603 E (linker Kanal) und T604 F (rechter Kanal) Minimum einstellen.

Adjustment Procedure Adjust T601 C to typ. 0V ±50mV.
2. Stereo Distortion
Adjust FE602 A to Kmin (typ. 0.5%, max. 1%). Control the right AF output with modulated right channel.
3. Stereo Crosstalk
Adjust VR602 D to minimum. Control the left AF output with modulated right channel.
4. Station search
With VR601 B adjust the search threshold (typ. URF = 15µV, max. URF 20µV) so that the ,,TUNED" indication still illuminates on the display. Adjust T603 E (left channel) and T604 F (right channel) to minimum.
