2. General:
On some models, when a toner cartridge is forcefully inserted into the machine, the shock may cause toner from the toner cartridge to leak onto the developing unit. This can result in toner overload generating an F2-40 error code. For the above models, forceful insertion of the toner cartridge can cause the shutter to open, leaking toner onto the developing tray. When inserting a toner cartridge, be sure to hold the toner cartridge until it is gently and fully inserted into the machine. These precautions are not limited to the above models. When inserting any toner cartridge, be sure to follow the same precautions.
