1. Preventing paper jams at the desk's 500 sheet cassette.

2.General:
In order to prevent jams that may occur when the desk's 500 cassette is using A4 or letter size paper, we have made the following changes.
3.Description:
We have changed the desk control PWB's ROM software so that the PWB does not check for TRC signals within 300 msec of the paper supply signal, since mistaken TRC signal detection is the cause of many paper jams. (Changing the ROM on an old PWB makes it equivalent to a new PWB.) Furthermore, we have established a new PWB for Europe in order to comply with CE mark regulations.
4.Action:
From the first unit of September, 1997 production on. 2. Achange to the operation control PWB (For improved productivity).

2.General:
In order to improve productivity during assembly of the operation control PWB, we have changed the PWB pattern. The old and new boards are interchangeable, and there is no change in the positioning of the board during assembly, so the part code has not changed. However, the silk-screen printing on the PWB has changed as indicated below. (Before change) N1227FC (After change)
