6. Troubleshooting

8. ISP Download

Note: In order to upgrade FW successfully, you must ensure the battery has
been fully charged.
Step1 Please execute the file "DV4MEISPDownload_Vxxx.EXE" to install the
"DV4M-E ISP FW Download Application" in PC. Then follow the
on-screen-instructions.

Please insert the SD/MMC card to your DMP-2300, then connect the

DMP-2300 to the PC by USB cable. You will see there are two Removal Disk
generated by your DV. (shown as. Fig. 3)

Please unzip "DV4M-E (Daewoo) ui data.zip", then you will see the folder
"Mustek" extracted (shown as fig.4). Check if the folders (shown as. fig. 5)
in the folder "Mustek" are existed. If there are no folders existed, or no files
in these folders, please contact Mustek window for support.

Step3:
Copy the unzipped folder "Mustek" to the root folder of the two Removal Disk
generated by your DMP-2300. (shown as. fig. 6)

Step4: Disconnect the DMP-2300 from the PC.
Step5Press the button "Shutter" to power on your DMP-2300. Make sure the
button "Shutter" has been pressed until the DMP-2300 is turned on (shown
as fig.7). Then the DMP-2300 will enter the "FW download mode".
Note: The DMP-2300 won't have any reaction, when it enters the "FW
download mode". To check if the DMP-2300 enters the "FW download
mode" or not, you can try to press the "Power" key. It should be even no
reaction to the function of Power On/Off. If you want to exit the "FW
download mode", you can remove the battery and AC adaptor from the
DMP-2300.

Windows System will detect the DV4M-E device at first connection.
Follow the on-screen-instruction to complete the hardware install procedure.
Note: When the following screen (fig.8) shows up on WinXP, please click the

make sure to start the FW upgrading procedure.

Note: When the following screen (fig.15) shows up, please Do Not disconnect
your DMP-2300 from PC. Otherwise it may cause the very serious damage of
your DMP-2300.

Step14When the message "Write FirmWare complete!" shows up, it means
upgrading FW is successfully. Please click the button "Exit" to close the
program. Then disconnect your DMP-2300 from the PC.

Step15Now you need to apply the new version of FW to your DMP-2300.
Make sure the SD/MMC is still in your DMP-2300. Please select "SETUP
MODE" on your DMP-2300 .

Now the DMP-2300 needs to read the data from SD/MMC card. Make sure
the SD/MMC card stays in the DMP-2300 slot.
Press the buttons "MENU", and "REC." and then click Power key to turn on
the DMP-2300 (shown as fig.18), so the DMP-2300 can enter the "Test
Mode" for FW upgrading procedure. Make sure the two buttons "MENU" and
"REC." are still pressed until the LCD shows the screen as fig.19.
Note: Do not press the Power key too long, when you try to enter the "Test
Mode" of the DMP-2300. Because it may cause the DMP-2300 powered off.
After pressing the buttons "MENU" and "REC.", just to click the Power key in
0.5 sec is better.

Step17 Be aware you can't move the "blue bar", and make sure the "blue
bar" stays in the first item (shown as. Fig.19). Then press the button "OK" or
"Shutter".

Now the DMP-2300 has been upgraded successfully and completely.
You can move the blue bar to the item "VERSION", then press the button
"OK" or "Shutter", to check if the new FW version is correct or not.
If it is correct, you can turn off the DMP-2300 and redraw the SD/MMC card.
Otherwise, repeat the steps 5~22 to process the FW download procedure
again.
