Section 1-5440

O PER ATI N G I NF O R M ATIO N
The Te ktron ix 5440 Oscilloscope is solid-state instrument designed for ge neral-pur pose applications . Th is
i n strument h as th ree plug-in compartmen ts that acce pt 5000-series plug-in units to forma com p lete meas urement system .
To effectively use t h is instrume nt, the operation and capabilities of the instrument must be kn ow n . Th is section describes
front- p anel control fu nctions, giving first-time and general operating informatio n . In formatio n or( operating voltage,
' instrume nt co nversion, rac k mou n ti ng, operating temperature, and p lug-i n i nstallation is also included.
