Troubleshooting Guide

This guide is intended to help isolate and fix the majority of problems that can occur when attaching 5250
type displays and printers to a S/36, S/38, AS/400, 5294, or 5394, using twinaxial cabling, telephone twisted
pair, IB M cabling system, or fiber optic convertors.

If after using this troubleshooting procedure, you continue to have problems, consult your Installation Plan-
ning Representative and/or your branch office support center. We would appreciate your feedback on the
