Subject: Heater damage while using the service DW80H9950US/AA,
inspection mode DW80H9970US/AA

Issue: If there is no water in the dishwasher when you use the service inspection mode, damage will
occur to the heater.

Solution: Enter the service inspection mode by pressing the Auto, Delicate, and Power keys at the
same time for two seconds. After entering the service inspection mode, all LED's will illuminate for
two seconds and then the software version is displayed. After the software version is displayed,
press the Auto key to advance to step "n1". DO NOT SKIP STEP n1. During this step, water will fill
the tub. If you skip this step and advance to step "n4" you will damage the heater. Please reference
the table below and on the next page to utilize the service inspection mode.
