Subject: No Picture; Loose CN309 Connector Symptom: (131X)
Date: July 27, 1998
The unit has no picture. CN309 may become loose or separate from the mating connector on the A Board. CN309 is part of a signal cable connecting to CN511 on the D Board. Affected units have SN less than 4041717. If the customer complains of this symptom, then please perform the following correction procedure on the A Board. NOTE: The following item (or equivalent) is needed to complete this procedure. REF NA DESCRIPTION RTV ADHESIVE PART NUMBER 7-322-065-16
Solution:
1. Inspect CN309 and the mating connector on the A Board and clean or align electrical signal contacts as necessary. 2. Insert CN309 into the mating connector on the A Board. Seat firmly in the mating connector. 3. Adjust the cable position between CN309 and the cable harness to minimize tension on CN309. 4. Apply RTV adhesive between CN309 and the mating connector on the D Board. Refer to the following illustration. RTV LOCATIONS
