Toavoidriskoffire,electricshock,seriousinjury,ordeathwhenusingyourdryer,followthesebasicprecautions:

1. Readallinstructionsbeforeusingthedryer.

2. InstalldryeraccordingtoInstallationInstructions.RefertotheGroundingInstructionsintheInstallationInstructions
forpropergroundingofthedryer.

3. Donotdryarticlesthathavebeencleanedin,washedin,soakedin,orspottedwithgasoline,drycleaningsolvents,or
otherflammableorexplosivesubstances.Vaporscouldigniteorexplode.

4. Donotusethedryertodryclotheswhichhavetracesofanyflammablesubstance,suchasvegetableoil,cookingoil,
machineoil,flammablechemicals,thinner,etc.,oranythingcontainingwaxorchemicals,suchasmopsandcleaning
cloths.Flammablesubstancesmaycausethefabrictocatchfirebyitself.

5. Donotstoreorusegasolineorotherflammablevaporsandliquidsnearthisoranyotherappliance.

6. Donotallowchildrentoplayonorindryer.Closesupervisionofchildrenisnecessarywhenthedryerisusednear
children,asafetyruleforallappliances.

7. Beforethedryerisremovedforserviceorisdiscarded,removedoorstodryingcompartment.

8. Donotreachintothedryerifcylinderisrotating.

9. Donotinstallorstorethedryerwhereitwillbeexposedtowaterand/orweather.

10.Donottamperwithdryercontrols.

11.Donotrepairorreplaceanypartofthedryerorattemptanyservice,unlessspecificallyrecommendedinuser-
maintenanceinstructionsorinpublisheduser-repairinstructionsthatyouunderstandandhaveskillstocarryout,if
you are a consumer.

12.Toreduceriskofelectricshockorfire,donotuseextensioncordsoradapterstoconnectthedryertoelectricalpower
source.

13.Usethedryeronlyforitsintendedpurpose,dryingclothes.

14.Alwaysdisconnectthedryerfromelectricalsupplybeforeattemptinganyservice.Disconnectthepowercordby
holdingtheplug,notthecord.

15.Donotuseheattodryarticlescontainingfoamrubberorsimilarlytexturedrubberlikematerials.

16.Alwayscleanthelintfilteraftereveryload.Alayeroflintinthefilterreducesdryingefficiencyandprolongsdrying
time.

17.Useonlyfabricsoftenersorproductstoeliminatestaticthatareappropriateforautomaticdryers.

18.Keepyourdryeringoodcondition.Bumpingordroppingthedryercandamagesafetyfeatures.Ifdamageoccurs,
havethedryercheckedbyaqualifiedservicetechnician.

19.Replacewornpowercordsand/orlooseplugs.

20.Donottumblefiberglasscurtainsanddraperiesunlessthelabelsaysitcanbedone.Iftheyaredried,wipeoutthe
cylinderwithadampclothtoremoveparticlesoffiberglass.

21.Alwaysreadandfollowmanufacturersinstructionsonpackagesforlaundryaids.Heedallwarningsorprecautions.
Toreduceriskofpoisoningorchemicalburns,keepproductsawayfromchildrenatalltimes,preferably,inalocked
cabinet.

25.Keepareaaroundtheexhaustopeningandadjacentsurroundingareasfreefromaccumulationoflint,dust,anddirt.

26.Interiorofdryerandexhaustductshouldbecleanedperiodicallybyqualifiedservicepersonnel.

27.Thedryerwillnotoperatewithloadingdooropen.DONOTbypassthedoorsafetyswitchbypermittingthedryerto
operatewithdooropen.Thedryerwillstoptumblingwhenthedoorisopened.Donotusethedryerifitdoesnotstop
tumblingwhendoorisopenedorstartstumblingwithoutpressingorturningtheSTARTmechanism.Stopusingthe
dryerandcontactaqualifiedservicetechnician.

28.Removelaundryimmediatelyafterthedryerstops.

29.ALWAYSfollowthefabriccareinstructionssuppliedbythegarmentmanufacturer.

Gas dryer power supply
ThisequipmentMUSTbegrounded.Intheeventofanelectricalshortcircuit,groundingreducestheriskofelectricshock
byprovidinganescapewirefortheelectricalcurrent.Thisunitisequippedwithacordhavingagroundingwirewitha
groundingplug.Theplugmustbepluggedintoanoutletthatisproperlyinstalledandgrounded.
Consultaqualifiedelectricianorservicerifgroundinginstructionsarenotcompletelyunderstood,orifdoubtexistsasto
whethertheequipmentisproperlygrounded.
Donotuseanextensioncord.Iftheproductpowercordistooshort,haveaqualifiedelectricianinstallathreeslot
receptacle.Thisunitshouldbepluggedintoaseparate60hertzcircuitwiththeelectricalratingasshownontheserial
plate.

Proper grounding and polarization for 120 volts wall outlets

dryershaveathree-prongpowercordandMUSTbeconnectedtoa L1 Neutral
properlypolarizedandgroundedwalloutlet.Thisinformationwaswritten
forthosewhodonotunderstandgroundingandpolarizationofawall Neutralside
outlet.A120VACwalloutletmustalwaysbewiredasshownright.
Polarization -Thismeansthatthelargerslotmustbeneutralandthe 115
