The Information Management System/360 is an
Operating System/360 processing program designed
to facilitate the implementation of medium to
large common data bases in a multiapplication
environment. This environment is created to
accommodate both online message processing and
conventional batch processing, either separately
or concurrently. The system permits the
evolutionary expansion of data processing
applications from a batch-only to a
teleprocessing environment.
This manual includes a general description of
the system and its various facilities and
programs, listings of typical and minimum
configurations, and a sample application.
